Angels Support Group is a Registered Charity and non-profit making organisation. All our activities are funded by corporate donations, independent grant-makers or individual donors.

Thank You!

We are extremely grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund, and Hertfordshire Community Foundation for funding major parts of our services. We are also very grateful to have received funding from Herts County Councillors from their Locality Budgets; from Judi Billing, Sharon Taylor, Josh Bennett Lovell, and Simon Bloxham.

Our members are a huge inspiration organising fundraising events with all of the proceeds going to the work of the Charity.

Thank you to all the support we receive to keep these vital services running and available to all our members.

If you are able to make a donation, as a one-off or a regular donation, please do so through our Local Giving page. A large number of charities are now using Local Giving as it allows charities to collect a higher proportion of donations than other well-known online giving services, and manages Gift Aid for us. Every donation makes a difference.

For other ways to donate to Angels, please contact us, by email to, by phone on 01462 685150, or by post to Angels Support Group, Unit 19, Pixmore Business Centre, Bird’s Hill, Letchworth Garden City, Herts SG6 1JG. Cheques can be made payable to Angels Support Group Hitchin.

Help Angels raise money to support families simply by registering with

Using easyfundraising is just about the simplest way to raise money for charity. So far over £440 has been raised for Angels!

With over 2000 retailers who have all agreed to pass a donation to the charity of your choice when you shop with them.

The donation is usually a percentage of how much you spend with them but it can also be a set amount, such as £30 for a new car insurance policy from Aviva.

Retailers include Amazon, M&S, Boden, John Lewis, Argos and 2000 other well known names.

If you are a regular user of Amazon, you can sign up to Amazon Smile, and select Angels as your charity, and Amazon will donate 0.5% of all your purchases to Angels.

Herts Parent Carer Involvement (HPCI) is looking for three voluntary Directors to join its current Board and to grow its skill base. We meet approximately 7 times per year and donate around 4-6 hours per month. The Directors develop policy and strategic direction, rather than being involved in day-to-day operations. We are particularly keen to hear from those with expertise in education, social care, health, HR and organisational development, marketing and communications. And we would welcome applications from parents and carers with diverse backgrounds, varied life experiences and with different perspectives. What we doHPCI is a Community Interest Company (CIC) and is the parent carer forum for Hertfordshire. Formed in 2010, it is recognised and supported by the Department for Education, Hertfordshire County Council, Herts Valleys CCG and East & North Herts CCG. The company currently consists of 7 Directors, 40 parent representatives and over a thousand members. Our members and involvement activities are growing every year.We believe that when parents and professionals work together, better and more informed decisions are made. We hold events, webinars, train and support parent representatives and gather parental feedback on a range of relevant issues. HPCI is NOT a family support or advocacy service, or a SEND service provider - we are focused on involvement and participation. Our trained parent carer representatives work with the local education, health and social care services and other providers to make sure the services they deliver really meet the needs of families with SEND in Hertfordshire. The Directors provide strategic direction to ensure the goals of HPCI are realised and have the ultimate legal and financial responsibility for the organisation.Do you want to help change happen and improve SEND services? Could your skills help HPCI?If you are interested and want to know how to apply or for more an informal chat about what is involved, please email our Chair, Helen Errington: Applications will close on 31 October. ...
